Menopause is a normal part of aging for all women with varying effects and severity. Symptoms of menopause are the same for women with or without breast cancer, however, some breast cancer treatments can bring about early menopause and make these symptoms worse. Some women may have mild symptoms that don’t require any interventions. Others experience more severe symptoms that can effect everyday life. There are ways to manage symptoms and live more comfortably with menopause including changes to life style factors (diet, exercise, smoking cessation, mental wellbeing), and medication. See below specialised menopause clinics in Melbourne.
